Individual Development Account (IDA)
Senior Director: Venus Brown
The IDA program prepares participants to become more financially independent. Participants in the IDA program are eligible to save for purchasing a first time home, business assets or secondary education. Savings are matched depending on the asset to be purchased.
Clients that participate in the IDA program will:

learn to build and maintain financial assets

acquire knowledge to purchase a first time home, get an education or start/expand a small business

learn how to navigate through the credit repair process
In order to apply for the IDA program you must:
- Complete one of DEI's 11-week core training programs
- Have your name added to the participant's eligibility list
- Be willing to commit to saving on a regular basis
- Be ready to obtain your asset within one year
There is no cost for the IDA program.
However, there are income eligibility guidelines.
