It is the mission of the Detroit Entrepreneurship Institute, Inc. to provide entrepreneurship and economic literacy training and technical assistance to individuals in Southeast Michigan with barriers to accessing resources in order to enhance their economic condition and that of their community

Young CEO & Investor Program (YCIP)
The Young CEO & Investor Program (YCIP) teaches youth and young adults between the ages of 14-17 years how to start and successfully operate a business. YCIP is offered as a four-week summer camp and introduces participants to entrepreneurship as a viable career option as well as promotes asset accumulation and self-sufficiency.
The YCIP Summer Camp is free to eligible participants and includes the following:
• Free entrepreneurial and asset accumulation training
• Free training materials
• Free meals
• Savings account
• Job placement assistance
• Assistance with transportation costs
• Linkages to vocational/technical training
