Individual Development Account (IDA) Program

Manager of Special Projects: Venus Brown

The IDA program prepares participants to become more financially independent. Participants in the IDA program will save $1,000.00 and have it matched up to *8:1 for purchasing a first time home, starting or expanding a small business or secondary education.

Clients that participate in the IDA program will:

  • learn to build and maintain financial assets
  • acquire knowledge to purchase a first time home, get an education or start/expand a small business
  • learn how to navigate through the credit repair process

In order to apply for the IDA program you must:

  • complete one of DEI's 11-week core training programs
  • have your name added to the participant's eligibility list
  • be willing to commit to saving on a regular basis
  • be ready to obtain your asset within one year

There is no cost for the IDA program.
